Candidates share their vision and ideas for addressing our most pressing issues in Roxbury during D7 & At-Large Candidate Forum
May 22nd, 2025
For us, nothing is more important than Roxbury residents having access to their elected officials, or in this case, future elected officials. With this mission in mind, last week's District 7 & At-Large Candidate Forum was a major success!
Over 200 residents packed into Hibernian Hall to hear from the seven candidates who qualified to run for City Council representative of District 7, and those who qualified to run for At-Large. We heard questions on housing, transportation, immigration, and public safety, and residents were able to learn firsthand the ideas, values and principles each candidate brought to the table in this election.
Thanks to all of our community partners for working with us to make this forum possible. If you're excited to vote in this year's municipal elections, voter registration is open until August 30th. Strong representation for our community is more important now than ever, so make sure your voice is heard and your ballot counted!

May 28th @ 6:00 PM — Mayoral Candidate Forum at Prince Hall
The upcoming municipal elections will be some of the most consequential for our community in this city's history, and we aren't done holding space for our community to hear from candidates.
Join us on May 28th at 6 PM for our Mayoral Candidate Forum at Prince Hall (William E. Reed Auditorium). Residents will have the chance to hear from the top mayoral candidates where they stand on the key issues impacting Roxbury and Boston. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Food and translation services will be provided.

May 19th "Reclaim Your Energy Bill" Workshop Recap
Roxbury and communities like it are disproportionately affected by energy costs, meaning more families struggling to make ends meet as a result of their energy bills and being targeted by third-party provider scams.
Reclaim Roxbury is dedicated to working with the Mass Save Community Education Program to help Roxbury residents save money on their bills, and working with the Boston Climate Action Network, hosted our first energy bill savings workshop, "Reclaim Your Energy Bill".
BCAN representatives showed attendees the different parts of their energy bill that determine the final cost of their energy consumption, and worked with residents individually to answer their questions.
We look forward to hosting more residents for the next workshop and helping our community take advantage of the Mass Save Program!
